1. Who We Are

Frontlines is a real-time strategy game developed as an independent project. This privacy policy explains what information is handled when you play the game.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information required to operate the game:

• Session token: A randomly generated identifier created on your device and sent to our game server. It is used solely to restore your position in a match if you temporarily disconnect. It is not tied to your identity in any way.
• Gameplay data: In-game actions (troop movements, deployments, city placements) are transmitted to our server to synchronise the game state with other players. This data is not stored after a match ends.
• Player icon preference: The icon you choose (e.g. an emoji symbol) is stored locally on your device using standard iOS preferences and shared with other players in the same match so they can see it on the map.
• IP address: Your IP address is visible to our server when you connect, as is the case with any internet-connected application. We do not log or store IP addresses beyond standard server operation.

3. Information We Do Not Collect

• Name, email address, or any contact information
• Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV) or advertising identifiers
• Location data
• Contacts, photos, or any other device data
• Payment information

4. How We Use the Information

The information collected is used exclusively to:

• Operate and synchronise multiplayer game sessions
• Restore a player's position in an active match after a temporary disconnection
• Display player-chosen icons to other participants within the same match

We do not use any data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the game.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties. The only data sharing that occurs is the game-state information exchanged between players connected to the same match, which is necessary for the multiplayer experience to function.

6. Data Retention

Active match data exists only for the duration of a game session and is not persisted to permanent storage after the session ends. Session tokens stored on your device are removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's local data.

7. Children's Privacy

Frontlines does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The game does not require registration or any personal data to play.

8. Data Security

All communication between the app and our game server is conducted over secure WebSocket connections. We take reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data tied to your identity, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or delete. If you have concerns about any data associated with your use of the app, please contact us using the details below and we will respond promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
